Fixed gangways and bridges

Stucture

Our gangways and bridges are up to 35m in length in a single span, allowing them to be used in a variety of situations:
-for crossing roads, railways, rivers etc.
-for berthing walkways,
-for promenades.

They are all made from 6005 AT5 marine quality aluminium with stainless steel nuts and bolts and are designed to comply with the French ERP standards (covering places of public assembly). They can be painted (using polyurethane paint) or remain as unpainted aluminium. Bureau Véritas inspections can be conducted at the various stages of production (drawings, design analysis reports, welds, workshop load tests etc.).

Each gangway or bridge consists of 2 guardrails mad from warren trusses and decking. The structure's dimensions depend on the stresses generated by the loading and by the pressure of the natural elements, such as the maximum wind speed recorded on the site. Once determined, these stresses are fed into a structural strength calculation computer programme, which then recommends the types of profile and assemblies to use.

Decking

Various types of decking are available:

Rot-proof hardwood or synthetic wood decking planks riveted to aluminium girders, each being independent and interchangeable.

Aluminium decking, the planks of which are butt-welded to the dock’s frame.

Open polyester deck gratings in the form of made-to-measure prefabricated slabs.
These types of plating are particularly designed to withstand professional use under difficult conditions.
